Towards a Sustainable Society
Our Sustainability and CO2 Reduction Initiatives
In 2021, to help create a sustainable society, our company established a Sustainability Committee and formulated a Basic Sustainability Policy.
Based on this policy, we have identified five materialities (key issues) and are promoting initiatives to achieve the respective goals.
(Origin Inc.expressed its support for the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and joined in April 2022.At the same time, it joined the Global Compact Network Japan, the UNGC's local network in Japan).
In particular, in terms of CO2 reduction, the company has set a medium-term target of reducing its own CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030 compared to 2015, with a view to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, and is accelerating its initiatives.
Furthermore, we continue to implement Scope 3 calculations with the aim of reducing emissions throughout our supply chain. In the future, we will further strengthen our cooperation with our suppliers and strive to conduct fair business activities and reduce CO2 emissions in the entire supply chain.
Through these initiatives, we will enhance our corporate credibility and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
