Human Rights Policy

The Origin Group, including its subsidiaries and affiliated companies within the group supply chain, holds a steadfast commitment to the principles of human rights. In alignment with our core management philosophy and fundamental sustainability policy, we consider the respect for human rights, the inherent rights of individuals worldwide, to be among the foundational pillars of our business activities. Our primary objective is to enhance our corporate value in a sustainable manner.
We wholeheartedly endorse and uphold globally recognized principles and standards related to human rights, including the "ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work" by the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations' "Ten Principles in Four Areas of the Global Compact," and the "Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights." Our comprehensive human rights policy is crafted in accordance with these esteemed principles and norms.

Origin Group Human Rights Policy

1.Scope of the Human Rights Policy

The Human Rights Policy, hereinafter referred to as the 'Policy,' applies to all officers and employees within the Origin Group. Furthermore, in accordance with this Policy, we will request all of our business partners, including procurement partners, suppliers, and other affiliated parties, to uphold human rights and refrain from violating them.

2.Respect for Human Rights

We consider the following aspects crucial and will actively address them.

(3)Respect for human rights of vulnerable groups

(4)Protection of personal information and privacy

3.Implementation of Human Rights Due Diligence

Through our human rights due diligence process, we identify and assess potential and actual negative impacts on human rights and work to prevent or mitigate human rights risks through the human rights due diligence process.

4.Remedies

When it becomes evident that our business activities, products, or services have resulted in or contributed to adverse human rights consequences, we will take corrective actions through suitable procedures.

5.Grievance Redress Mechanism

We have established internal and external reporting channels that are accessible to relevant stakeholders to ensure that complaints involving negative human rights impacts are addressed at an early stage and that direct remedies are available. In addition, we prohibit any disadvantageous treatment or retaliatory measures against whistleblowers and thoroughly protects whistleblowers.

6.Education

We provide appropriate education and training to all directors, officers, and employees to ensure that this policy permeates the entire Company.

7.Dialogue and Consultation

We engage in dialogue and consultation with relevant stakeholders regarding our response to risks and actual impacts on human rights.

8.Information Disclosure

We appropriately disclose and report information regarding this policy and related initiatives.

Procurement Policy

Origin discloses the Origin Group's procurement policy to ensure fair business practices throughout the supply chain.

Origin Group Basic Procurement Policy

The basic procurement policy of the Origin Group, including subsidiaries and affiliated companies within our supply chain, can be stated as follows:

1. Law-abiding

We are committed to adhering to both domestic and international laws, regulations, and societal norms, as we actively seek to fulfill our social responsibilities.

2. Social Responsibility

We will conduct procurement activities that thoroughly prioritize the reduction of environmental impact when selecting suppliers and procurement items.

3. Fairness

We offer fair trading opportunities to our procurement partners.

4. Trust and Integrity

We engage in procurement activities founded on mutual understanding and trust with our procurement partners.

5. Responsible Mineral Procurement

We are committed to eliminating the use of conflict minerals that are associated with human rights violations and environmental degradation from our supply chain, while actively pursuing responsible mineral resource procurement.

Basic policies that the Origin Group respects as a procurement partner

At the commencement of transactions, the Origin Group, including our subsidiaries and affiliated companies within our supply chain, will accord priority to companies meeting the following seven conditions. We will maintain a commitment to these conditions throughout our ongoing transactions. Our aim is to foster mutual understanding, cultivate a trusted relationship with our procurement partners, and collaborate effectively with them.

(1) Our suppliers prioritize compliance with domestic and international laws and societal norms, with a strong emphasis on respecting human rights and environmental considerations.

(2) Our suppliers are required to have a sound financial standing.

(3) Our suppliers are expected to provide materials and services to us at a level of quality, price, and delivery schedule that is reasonable and appropriate.

(4) Our suppliers are required to have the capability to consistently provide stable supply and to demonstrate flexibility in response to demand fluctuations.

(5) Our suppliers are expected to possess the technical expertise that can contribute to our company's products.

(6) Our suppliers are required to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring continuous supply, even in the face of unexpected disasters or similar events.

(7) Our suppliers are expected to make efforts to eliminate the use of conflict minerals associated with human rights violations and environmental destruction in the materials supplied to the Origin Group, and actively engage in responsible mineral resource procurement

Sustainability promotion based on JEITA policy

In order to engage in fair business activities throughout the supply chain, Origin will use the Guidelines for Responsible Corporate Behavior issued by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), and will periodically survey and confirm the status of sustainability initiatives at its suppliers in the future.
