Support for social welfare activities

The Mamada Factory agrees the "work as a natural" initiative of people with disabilities and holds a monthly bread sale by "Bakery Kuwano-mi" in the company cafeteria.
The bread produced and sold at the welfare support center for people with disabilities is all handmade with safe, secure, additive-free dough, and is popular for its warm flavor.

Disaster prevention training activities

Every year, a joint fire drill is held by the six companies that handle hazardous materials in the vicinity of the Mizuho Plant to promote cooperation with the surrounding community.
In the lifesaving training, participants learn how to use an AED at the AED installation training session, and each participant strives to improve his or her awareness and knowledge of disasters.

Collaboration with Local Communities I ~Beautification Activities~

With the relocation of our head office to Saitama City, we started a cleanup activity around the company with the participation of all employees, aiming to become a company rooted in the community. Noticing that there was a lot of garbage on the sidewalks along Route 17, we expanded the scope of the cleaning and beautification activities to include the installation of flower beds in the sidewalk plantings.
Our head office has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Volunteer Support Program, which promotes the maintenance of a pleasant road environment, and has been conducting cleanup and beautification activities. By ensuring clean and comfortable sidewalks, communication with the local community is revitalized, and it also helps raise environmental awareness within the company.

~Exhibit at Saitama Children's Museum~

Summer Children's Museum" was held at the Saitama City Museum. As part of the exhibition theme "World-Class 'Monozukuri' of Saitama City," we exhibited some of our origin technologies. The exhibit was designed so that visitors could actually touch and feel the products to provide hints for free research and to foster children's creativity.

The city of Saitama certifies R&D-oriented manufacturing companies in the city that excel in originality and innovation as "Saitama City Leading Edge Companies".
Origin received certification in 2016.

~Lectures at open classes at neighboring universities~

We gave a direct lecture to students at a neighboring university with which we have close ties through industry-academia-government collaboration councils, student formula projects, joint research, etc., in the "Introduction to Regional Finance x Regional Innovation" lecture endowed by Saitama Resona Bank.

Global Expansion for Sustainability

The U.S. branch participates in local volunteer activities sponsored by the Nikkei Business Association to which it belongs, and conducts harassment education (twice a year) to ensure coexistence with the local community and culture.
